CS:GO Wingman — Competitive 2v2 Matchmaking
Ranked 2v2 matches with a separate Wingman Elo rating. Queue solo or with a partner and compete in fast-paced duo rounds on dedicated servers.
How Wingman Works
Wingman is Crossfire's 2v2 competitive mode. Two players per team, shorter matches, and its own separate Elo rating. It's designed for players who want ranked competition without committing to a full 5v5 match.
- Queue solo or as a duo — The matchmaker pairs you with or against players at a similar Elo.
- Map vote — Both teams vote on the map from the Wingman map pool.
- Play — Shorter rounds, faster pace, high individual impact.
- Elo update — Your Wingman Elo updates after the match (K=320).

Why Wingman Has Separate Elo
Wingman used to have a lower K-factor when Elo was shared across modes. Crossfire now tracks Classic 5v5, Wingman 2v2, and Aim 1v1 separately, so Wingman can use the same K-factor as Classic while only changing your Wingman Elo.
The K-factor is 320 for Wingman. Global Elo still weights Classic highest, then Wingman, then Aim 1v1.
When to Play Wingman
- Short on time — Wingman matches are faster than full 5v5 games.
- Duo practice — Perfect for working on coordination with a regular partner.
- Individual skill focus — Your impact is amplified with only 2 players per team.
- Warmup before 5v5 — Play a ranked Wingman before committing to a longer match.
Other Modes
- 5v5 Competitive — Full team matchmaking (~+/-160 Elo per match).
- Deathmatch — Free-for-all aim practice, no Elo.
